About Us

1429843379_info-The Allegheny Health Services Employees Federal Credit Union was established in 1973. Originally formed to serve the employees and families of Allegheny General Hospital, the credit union expanded to include other organizations such as, Family Services of Western Pennsylvania, Milestone, Inc., Manchester Youth Development Center and Manchester Academic Charter School and Three Rivers Adoption Council.

The mission statement of the credit union is to “promote thrift among its members by affording them an opportunity to accumulate their savings and to create for them a source of credit for provident or productive purposes.” The monies that members save with the credit union provide the funds needed by the credit union to disburse loans to members for the purpose of purchasing vehicles, home improvements, vacations, etc. The loan funds paid back to the credit union provide a return on the members savings investment with the credit union in the form of dividends.

All employees of our affiliated sponsor companies are eligible for membership in the credit union. For a complete list of sponsor companies, please contact the credit union.

In addition, immediate family members of current credit union members are also eligible for membership in the credit union. Immediate family members are defined as: spouse, children, siblings, parents, grandparents or grandchildren. Immediate family also includes stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings and adoptive relatives. Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of the credit union or persons who are retirees of any of our sponsor companies are also eligible for membership.

Our credit union policy is “once a member, always a member”, which means once you are a member, you can continue your membership with the credit union even if you are no longer employed with one of our sponsor companies.

Most of our sponsor companies have the enrollment forms and information if you are interested in joining the credit union, or you can contact the credit union directly.
